Day 3: Safari to Lake Manyara National Park.
Today
we shall drive from our lodge and head to the small sized Lake Manyara National
Park which is habitat to a diversity of wildlife. Two thirds of the park’s
expanse is covered by Lake Manyara. In its background are a verdant water
forest, open grasslands adjacent to the lakeshore, a soda lake plus the walls
if the Rift valley far beyond. Enjoy a picnic lunch with views of a hot spring,
thick woodlands plus steep mountain slopes. The park is a perfect birding
destination with over 350 varieties of birds. In addition the park is renowned
for its resident tree-climbing-lions. Dine and sleep at a Lodge.
Day 4: Safari to Serengeti National Park.
Today
we head to the Olduvai Gorge in the Great Rift Valley also referred to as the
“Cradle of Mankind” where the remains of an ancient hominid dating two million
years back in time was discovered. From there we shall proceed to the Serengeti
National Park to enjoy some of the world’s finest wildlife views. ‘Serengeti’
is a native world meaning ‘endless plains’ and this best describes the 5600 sq
mile terrain of the park. Being one among the oldest ecosystems in the world
the Serengeti will definitely meet your wildlife expectations. Most prominent
bout this park is the annual wildebeest migration that occurs starting May all
through to December involving millions and millions of wildebeest, gazelles
plus zebras, together with big numbers of hyenas, leopard, jackals, lions and
cheetahs which pursue the large herds to prey on them. Dine and slumber at a Lodge.
Day 5: Safari to Ngorongoro Crater
From
the Serengeti National Park, we drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. While at the
rim of the crater we shall marvel at the caldera and at the various animals at

closer game view and have a picnic lunch on the floor of this wildlife
paradise. Special about the Ngorongoro is that it offers game viewing
opportunities all through the year. The wildlife population here is regarded to
be permanent since both grazing pastures and water resources are available all
year round. After dinner we shall drive back to a Lodge.
