Ngorongoro crater
Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest unbroken and UN loosed caldera that provides a
wildlife spectacle. The
world’s largest unbroken and UN flooded caldera, Ngorongoro Crater provides
a wildlife spectacle not to be missed. With a depth of 600 meters and diameter
of 19km, it is home to some 30,000 mammals, offering the best opportunities
for spotting the “Big 5”: Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Elephant and the
endangered Black Rhino.
Ngorongoro
Conservation area covers approximately 8,288 sq km, containing
vast numbers of herbivores and predators, including cheetahs, jackals,
serval cats and Africans densest hyena population.
Ngorongoro
has some of the most magnificent views you will ever experience, from the
shimmering Serengeti plains on the western horizon to landscapes ranging from
lush rain forest on the crater rim to bush savanna and acacia woodland, not
forgetting its main feature, Lake Magadi at the center of the crater floor with
it breath taking waters reflecting the silver sky and attracting hundreds of
pretty pink flamingos and the regal Yellow-billed Stork. Ngorongoro is a
natural paradise in its own right; on that we recommend to any visitor to
Tanzania.
