It is set in a beautifully landscaped garden with a profusion of flowers and birds in Arusha.

There is direct dial telephone facilities and interconnecting rooms. Impala Hotel is extremely popular with local businessmen and tourists touring Tanzania for its delicious lunch buffets and accommodation in both luxury and budget.

Maramboi Tented Camp (1 night)
Maramboi Tented Camp offers permanent camp facilities and endless vistas of rolling golden grasslands and palm lined desert between Tarangire and Manyara Lake. An impressive landscape from the Rift Valley gives the visitor an amazing natural welcome to an area extraordinarily rich in wildlife. The camp offers stunning views of the Manyara National Park, Rift Valley, Ngorongoro highlands, and on clear days, even Oldonyo Lengai, a sacred mountain to the Maasai.

In the wet season, the Manyara and Tarangire Pans fill with water which attracts huge flocks of flamingos and other wading birds. The area is also the only place in East Africa where one is often able to see the migration herds of tens of thousands of wildebeest and zebra, followed by predators. Although the migrations do occur in other areas of Tanzania, the tree cover prohibits a view of the magnitude that you are able to see at Maramboi Tented Camp because of the exposed nature of the surrounding grassland.

They have 40 spacious tents built on ample wooden decks, among them there are 26 standard rooms, 10 suites, and two units with two rooms interconnected, ideal for families with children. They all have en-suite facilities and private veranda with 24 hours 220 volt electric lighting.

Kati Kati Tented Camp (3 nights)
Ndutu Kati Kati is a seasonal mobile tented camp located in South Serengeti, strategically located to cover the vast Serengeti plains. The camp is open between December and March, to coincide with the great migration when millions of wildebeest, zebra, and other ungulates congregate on the Serengeti plains. They provide in total 10 large double tents, each consisting of a large king size bed or twin beds. Each tent has shower, hand basin, and flush toilet, while the lighting is supplied by solar light energy.

Rhino Lodge (1 night)
Rhino Lodge provides a great value for money, they are located very close to the Ngorongoro Crater. There are 24 guest rooms, all with veranda overlooking a stretch of high mountain forest. Each room has its own shower, toilet, and hand basin. To keep away the cold, each room has a wood-burning stove and hot water bottles that can be filled if you want one.

Tanzania Roadside Expeditions Safari Program
A big five safari focuses on rhino, elephant, buffalo, lion, and leopard. There is a tremendous demand to see the big five as they are rare and difficult to locate. Because of their unusual behaviors and hunting habits, they are fascinating to watch as they survive in their natural habitats.

Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met and transferred to Impala Hotel for overnight on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire
At 07:00, after breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel by your safari guide and driven to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is almost 3,000 square kilometers in size and is probably best known for its huge numbers of elephants and baobab trees. The name of the park comes from the Tarangire River which crosses through the park.
Tarangire is especially spectacular during the dry season (June to November) as wildlife concentrations rival that of the Serengeti, since enormous populations of elephants and other animals are drawn to the Tarangire River as their only source of water. With its varied habitats and permanent water in the Tarangire River, the park is home to over 2,000 elephants an
d 500 bird species. Enjoy the wildlife! You will stay overnight at Maramboi Tented Camp.

Day 3: Tarangire - Serengeti Ndutu
After breakfast, you will have a drive to Ndutu area (where the migration should be) in Ngorongoro but near the Serengeti National Park. The endless plains of Serengeti are also the setting for the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle, the one million and a half wildebeest endless migration in search for fresh pastures. Each year, this huge herd of wildebeest, along with over 200,000 zebra and gazelle, migrate in a clockwise direction around the Serengeti.
They migrate up to the Masai Mara in Kenya and then back down to the Serengeti to have their young, over 8,000 wildebeest are born a day between mid February and mid March. Each year, they trek over 2,500 kilometers and are constantly threatened and followed by some of Africa’s greatest predators. Depending on the time of your visit, your driver guide will be able to share with you where the herd’s current location is at. Enjoy game drives! You will stay overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp Ndutu

Day 4 to 5: Ndutu - Central Serengeti
On your fourth and fifth day, you will have the option to enjoy hot air ballooning in the early morning, followed by bush champagne breakfast. You will be able to enjoy a full day in Serengeti. The Serengeti National Park is the world’s last great wildlife refuge as it contains an estimated three million large animals, most of which take part in a seasonal migration that is one of nature’s wonders. The area covers 14,763 square kilometers and the name Serengeti comes from the Maasai ‘Siringet’, meaning endless plains. You will stay overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp.

Day 6: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, have a half-day game drive at Serengeti, before driving for approximately three hours to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Central Serengeti offers superb game viewing all year round due to its abundance of resident animals. Specifically, the Seronera River Valley in the Central Serengeti is a must see on every safari regardless of the specific month of travel.

Game viewing in Central Serengeti is at its best during the dry season (June to November) as resident animals are more concentrated in the immediate area due to the lack of water on the plains. Resident herbivores include impala, buffalo, hippo, warthog, topi, hartebeest, and giraffe. Resident carnivores include lion and leopard. You will stay overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.

Day 7: Ngorongoro - Arusha
After breakfast, you will descend into the crater for a crater game drive. Often called the eighth natural wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. About two million years ago, the Ngorongoro Volcano erupted and its walls collapsed. The volcano floor sank to create a natural enclosure with its 600-meter tall walls.
Now, at over 19 kilometers wide, Ngorongoro Crater is filled with great areas of acacia forest, hippo filled swamps, and open grasslands. These different habitats contain over 30,000 animals, including elephants, warthogs, flamingos, magnificent bird life, the rare black rhinoceros, and all the predatory cats. The Maasai can also be seen grazing their cattle alongside the buffalo and wildebeest. After lunch, you will start the two hour and a half journey back to Arusha for an overnight stay at Impala Hotel.

Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your scheduled flight back home. Please inform Tanzania Roadside Expeditions of your flight schedules.
