Lake Eyasi

Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. 

This sparsely visited lake lies at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the Western Rift Valley wall. The lake has shallow alkaline water, quite salty, with plenty of algae. It is very important lake, supporting a high population of flamingos. Often this trip is made along with a visit to the Hadzabe tribe.
