Lushoto to Mambo Experience

Our Usambara Mountains Hiking 6 Days package treats visitors with breathtaking unique and wide vistas. This peaceful corner of Northern Tanzania is best experienced on a village to village trek. Explore Tanzania off the beaten track as you come along hillside farms nestled between the mountains and lush green rainforest. Experience the real farm life of Tanzania.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day One: Airport to Moshi

Our driver will pick you up at the airport and drive you to the hotel in Moshi, where you will meet a representative of Africa Natural Tours

Day Two: Moshi to Lushoto

After breakfast we will drive you to Lushoto, where you will overnight at Avocado Lodge and meet your guide for the trek.

Day Three: Lushoto to Mkuzi

Today's journey takes us to Mkuzi. You will hike for around 4 hours and manage a distance of 12.3km. You will spend the night at Muller’s Lodge.

Day Four: Mkuzi to Kwekanga

Our day hike to Kwekanga is the longest of our trek with a distance of 18km and a walking time of 6 hours. Today’s night will be spending at a home stay, where you get to experience how local people in the Usambara Mountains live.

Day Five: Kwekanga to Rangwi

We reach Rangwi after 13km and spend the night at the Rangwi Convent.

Day Six: Rangwi to Mambo View Point Lodge

The Final leg takes us to our finish line the Mambo View Point Lodge, where you will enjoy an unforgettable view over the endless plains of Tanzania and even Kilimanjaro, if you are lucky.
