Southern Tanzania Adventure Safaris /12 Days
Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Mikumi 
Pick up from Hotel in Dar es Salaam and drive to Mikumi National Park. Early afternoon arrival at Mikumi National Park. After lunch and freshening up, set off for a glimpse of Mikumi with a late afternoon safari drive in Mikumi National Park. Overnight at lodge tented camp in Mikumi on Full Board Basis

Day 2: Mikumi
After breakfast drive with packed lunch to Udzungwa Mountain National Park. Enjoy a guided walk in this park famous for rare plants and primates including two that are endemic-Iringa Red Colobus and the Sanje crested mangabey. Walk in the lush rain forest, relax by the waterfalls and enjoy spectacular views of the south west plateau. Late afternoon return to Mikumi and overnight at lodge/ tented camp in Mikumi on Full Board Basis.


Day 3: Mikumi – Ruaha 
After breakfast leave with a packed lunch for Ruaha National Park. The drive to Ruaha is a long stretch, about 7 hours, but is truly fascinating and gives you a real feel of the African country side.  Overnight at lodge/tented camp in Ruaha on Full Board Basis.

Day: 4 + 5 Ruaha
The next two days are spent game driving in Ruaha National park, one of Tanzania’s best kept secrets. Enjoy two full day safari drives within Ruaha National Park with packed lunches. The remoteness of Ruaha gives you the perfect impression of a real safari in wild Africa. Return to lodge/tented camps in the evenings and overnight in Ruaha on Full Board Basis.


Day 6 :Ruaha – Mufindi Highlands
After breakfast drive to Mufindi Highlands in time for lunch. Mufindi highlands offer you the opportunity to experience a different part of Tanzania. This area is surrounded by tea estates, dark thick montane forest, rugged bushland interlaced with lakes, rivers and streams. It is an ideal place to relax after the rigors of your safari. The climate is cool and there are a number of activities to choose from including walks, fishing, golf, mountain biking and horseback riding. Overnight at lodge in Mufindi Highlands on Full Board Basis.

Day 7 :Mufindi Highlands
Choice of activities at the lodge or relax enjoying the cool climate and stunning scenery. Overnight at lodge in Mufindi Highlands on Full Board Basis.

Day 8: Mufindi Highlands – Morogoro
After breakfast drive back towards Dar es Salaam to the town of Morogoro with a packed lunch. Enjoy the town life and overnight at lodge in Morogoro on Full Board Basis.


Day 9: Morogoro – Selous
After breakfast drive to the Selous with packed lunch.  The journey will take you approximately 7 hrs through the most amazing and truly wild and untouched areas of Tanzania. Arrive at Selous Game Reserve and overnight at lodge/tented camp on Full Board Basis.

Day 10: Selous
After breakfast, depart for a full day of safari drives within this vast reserve. Return to lodge and overnight at lodge/tented camp on Full Board Basis.


Day 11: Selous
Wake up for a very early breakfast and indulge yourself into a very adventurous activity – walking safari You will join a professional guide and an armed ranger for a walking safari into the wilderness and experience the wilderness on foot. This is a very enlightening trip where you will learn a lot about the flora and fauna of the reserve and its inhabitants. Return to lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, experience a boat safari on the mighty Rufiji River. You will glide through groups of hippos, crocodiles, villages and see amazing bird life along the way. Return to lodge/tented camp and overnight on Full Board Basis.

Day 12: Selous – Dar es Salaam
After breakfast drive back to Dar es Salaam with packed lunch. Early afternoon arrival in Dar es Salaam and drop off at hotel or Airport for onward journey.
