6 Day Tanzania Safari
6 Day Tanzania Safari
This is a 6 day Tanzania safari that
operates on a scheduled departure basis, setting off every Wednesday. Therefore
anyone can be part of this safari, given that there are 2 passengers, this
safari will commence.
The itinerary includes Tanzania’s
most renowned safari destinations like the Ngorongoro Crater, lake Manyara
National Park as well as Serengeti National Park. It is perfect for visitors
that have quite limited time and are searching for a reasonably priced Tanzania
safari which provides quality accommodation as well as safari vehicles.
Day 1: Arusha – Ngorongoro
On arrival you will be received by
safari guide in Arusha. After lunch, we begin our Tanzania expedition by
driving all the way to the Ngorongoro Highlands up to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge
or any similar and there check-in for the overnight.
The Ngorongoro Crater is documented
as a UNESCO confined World Heritage Site that forms a section of a worldwide
biosphere reserve. This crater covers about 300 square kilometers and runs close
to 19 kilometers across. The crater’s floor is 600m beneath the edge, which is
more than 2200 m.a.s.l, and is habitat to a profusion of wildlife like the
black rhinos, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, lions and an excess of antelope
species.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Safari (Tanzania)
Today we descend into the Ngorongoro
Crater’s floor to enjoy a full day game drive. Have a wonderful picnic lunch on
the crater floor and in the later afternoon return to the edge to our lodge for
dinner and slumber.
Day 3: Ngorongoro – Serengeti
(Tanzania)
Following breakfast we drive to the
Olduvai Gorge a well-known archeological site eminent for the discoveries of
most primitive man’s remains got there. From there we carry on to the world
renowned Serengeti National Park, and arrive at Serengeti Serena or any similar
for lunch. This afternoon we shall have our initial game drive into the
wildlife sanctuary. Dine and slumber at the lodge.
Serengeti National park was also
declared as a World Heritage Site, and extends over 14700 square kilometers of
African wilderness. Actually it forms part of the ecosystem with the Masai Mara
Game Reserve in Kenya and plays an essential role in the yearly wildebeest
migration that traverses in a circular way from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara
found in Kenya. The landscape is majorly characterized by the continuous
grassy-plains scattered with millions of wild animals offering a typical ‘Out
of Africa” experience.
Nonetheless some parts are covered with Acacia
savanna, thick forested hills and even rocky outcrops recognized as koppies, in
addition to pans plus lakes. The profusion of wildlife is certainly what makes
this area a much preferred safari destination, as it includes large populations
of lions, leopards, buffaloes, cheetahs, impalas, elephants, hippos,
waterbucks, as well as other wild animals not to forget over 400 bird species.
Day 4: Serengeti Safari (Tanzania)
Today we enjoy the entire day having
a game drive tour in the Serengeti which, too many people is the highlight of
this safari. To make the most of our time on this African we shall opt for a
picnic lunch. Dine and slumber at a lodge in Serengeti.
Day 5: Serengeti – Lake Manyara
(Tanzania)
Following breakfast head to Lake
Manyara which is a soda lake that is a section of the Great Rift Valley. We
shall check-in at Lake Manyara Serena or any similar where we shall have lunch.
After lunch continue for game drive in the afternoon. Dine and slumber at the
lodge.
Well-known for its tree-climbing
lions, 77% of the national park is covered by this soda lake. The lake is
actually a great attraction to various species of migratory birds hence making
it an ornithologists’ paradise. The diversity of habitats like swamps, savanna
and thick jungle result into a uniformly wide diversity of wildlife, such as
buffaloes, hippos, elephants, ostriches, leopards, wildebeests, baboons,
zebras, impalas plus giraffes. The national park is located only 125 kilometers
from Arusha and is for that reason our final stop in this great Tanzania
safari.
Day 6: Lake Manyara – Arusha
Subsequent
to breakfast we return to Arusha where we shall have lunch in any of the
restaurants, and this will mark the finish.
