12 Days Grand Tour Kenya
The ultimate safari to see all the most popular national parks in Kenya based on lodges and luxury tented camps.

Day 1 - Nairobi/Amboseli
Drive south through Masai territory to Amboseli Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch.  Afternoon game drives with the snow-capped Mt Kilimanjaro in the background.  Dinner and overnight at a lodge

Day 2 – Amboseli
Day spent viewing game with a morning and afternoon game drives. In between relax by the pool side. Amboseli (392 sq km) is not a big park but supported by swamp vegetation it harbors elephants, buffaloes, hippos, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, gazelles, wildebeests, warthogs, zebras, ostriches and Masai giraffes in the background of the magnificent snow caped Mt. Kilimanjaro. The waters from melted snow find their way down the mountain under lava flows and re-surface on the Amboseli plains in form of swamps. Dinner and overnight at a lodge


Day 3 - Amboseli/Tree Hotel
Game drives then drives via Nairobi to the Aberdares for an exciting Tree Hotel or lodge overlooking a floodlit waterhole frequented by wildlife. Dinner and overnight at your tree hotel

Day 4 - Tree/Hotel/Samburu
After breakfast we drive north across the Equator to the edge of the Northern Frontier in the Samburu Game Reserve.  Arrival will be in time for lunch followed by afternoon game drives.  Dinner and overnight at your lodge

Day 5 – Samburu
The day is spent game viewing in the Samburu game park. Elephants abound; also available in this park and the neighboring Buffalo Springs Game Reserve is lion, leopard, cheetah, reticulated giraffe, buffalo, gerenuk, gravy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Oryx and crocodile. Dinner and overnight at your lodge


Day 6- Samburu/Mt Kenya Safari club
Early morning game drives then drive to Mt Kenya Safari Club to enjoy their excellent facilities or take an optional tour to the nearby Sweetwater’s and Olpajeta wildlife sanctuaries for game drives and viewing of the orphaned chimps

Day 7 - Mt Kenya Safari Club/Lake Baringo
Early morning drive via Nyahururu Falls down to the scenic Lake Bogoria to view the hot springs and geysers.  Later drive to Lake Baringo.  Evening bird walk followed by dinner and overnight in your hotel/lodge.

Day 8 - Baringo/Lake Nakuru
We have morning boat ride in Lake Baringo followed by lunch, then drive along the floor of the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

Day 9 - Nakuru/Masai Mara
Early breakfast followed by morning game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park. After lunch drive across the Rift Valley down to the Masai Mara. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

Day 10/11 - Masai Mara
Two days to experience the Mara magic! Kenya’s premier reserve is famed for its astounding concentration of wildlife  and harboring lions, leopards, cheetah, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, massai giraffes, hippos, black rhinos, spotted hyenas  many species of antelopes. The climax is the annual great wildebeest migration in July, August, September and October of each year. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

Day 12 - Masai Mara/Nairobi
Early morning game drive and then return to Nairobi by lunch time and drop off at your hotel or airport.
 
Included in the price:
• Transport by private safari minibus or 4x4 land cruiser with a pop up roof for best game viewing and photography
• Services of a professional English speaking driver/ tour guide
• All Game park entrance fees
• Flying doctors emergency evacuations cover
• Airport pickup and drop off after safari
