5 Days Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara budget tented camp safari

A safari to experience Lake Nakuru's prolific bird life & Masai Mara's abundance wild life all year round on budget tented camp or lodge accommodation

Day 1 – Nakuru National Park

Depart from your hotel in the morning; we drive down the Escarpment via the floor of the Great Rift Valley to reach your hotel in time for lunch. We then have afternoon tour of Lake Nakuru which is a seasonal home for millions of pink flamingos and many other species of birds. Lake Nakuru is also a sanctuary for both black and white rhino as well as the Rothschild giraffe. Lake Nakuru also harbors lions, warthogs, waterbucks, buffaloes, hippo and many other animals. Overnight at a budget tented camp or lodge (LD)

Day 2 - Nakuru/Masai Mara

Depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve after an early breakfast to reach your hotel in time for lunch.  The reserve is popular for its big game and is also a northern extension of the Serengeti National Park eco system in Tanzania. We have afternoon game drive starting 16.00hours.
The Masai Mara Game Reserve is 1510sq km of open rolling grasslands dotted with the acacia trees and harboring lions, leopards, cheetah, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, Masai giraffes, hippos, black rhinos, spotted hyenas  many. Also visit a Masai village for a cultural insight at a fee. Overnight at a budget tented camp or lodge (BLD)

Day 3&4- Masai Mara

We spend these two days exploring the park with a morning and afternoon game drive each day to experience the Masai Mara magic!  Kenya’s premier reserve is famed for its astounding concentration of wildlife  and harboring lions, leopards, cheetah, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, Masai giraffes, hippos, black rhinos, spotted hyenas  many species of antelopes. The climax is the annual great wildebeest migration in July, August and September. Overnight at a budget tented camp or lodge (BLD)

Day 5 – Masai Mara/Nairobi:

After early breakfast we depart for Nairobi depending on your home bound flight arrangements and drop you off at JKIA or hotel (B). 

Included in the price:

-Transport by a custom made safari minibus or 4x4 land cruisers with a pop up roof for best viewing and photography.
    -Services of a professional English speaking driver/ guide
    -Game park entrance fees
    -Flying doctors emergency evacuations cover
    -Pickup and drop off at JKIA or hotel
    -Full board accommodation in budget tented camps/ lodges as specified in the itinerary or similar
    -1.5 liter water bottle per person per day while on safari
    -Activities as indicated in the specified itinerary

    -Hotel accommodation in Nairobi (but can be arranged upon request)
