5 day gorilla safari in Bwindi with visit to Queen Elizabeth
A breath taking gorilla tracking safari in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and visit Queen Elizabeth national park with the Kazinga channel boat ride to view birds.
The safari will start from Kampala and end in Kampala taking you for gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, west across the Albertine Rift Valley. Here you will view the terrain of the forest, the plant life, animal life and birdlife plus some butterflies, then head to Queen Elizabeth National Park for the launch trip on the Kazinga channel and game driving. It is positioned between Lake Edward and Lake George in the western arm of the Great Rift Valley. Diverse habitats include open Savannah, dense papyrus swamps, crater lakes and rainforest– one of the highest species diversity in the world. You will see a diversity of animal life and birdlife. You will also go for chimpanzee tracking and Maramagambo forest walk, then later head back to Kampala.

Day 1: Kampala – Bwindi
Early morning breakfast in Kampala you will be briefed about the safari, after head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest while driving through the Uganda’s Switzerland, Kabale. The nature walk will lead you to the Munyaga Waterfall and a chance to see primates such as the Grey Cheeked Mangabey Blue monkeys and others species.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking.
We will have an early morning breakfast then set off equipped with packed lunch and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorillas. This is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences and we head to the ranger headquarters for the gorilla activity briefing. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours with the help of experienced guides. It’s amazing to listen and observe the gorillas in the forest while they marvel and grumble to each other. Other mammals here include the rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephants, black-fronted dickers, bush bucks, leopards, and giant forest hogs. Have a relaxed afternoon or an option of forest walk.

Day 3: Bwindi – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Morning breakfast and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a 4 hours’ drive. Enrooted, you may be rewarded with views of Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hyenas and a variety of Antelope species. On arrival in the park, enjoy the exclusive evening 2-hour launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Here you will view the abundant birdlife, hippos and many animals that may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. Dinner and overnight at either:-

Day 4: Kyambura chimpanzee and Maramagambo Forest Walks.
An early morning chimpanzee and other primates tracking in the Kyambura gorge. When chimp tracking, the walking activity may be fascinating while the viewing may be unpredictable. Have lunch and go for a forest walk in Maramagambo Forest to view the different diversity of plant life. Then visit the bat cave and the blue lake. Dinner and overnight (BLD) either at:-

Day 5: Departure
Drive to Kampala having lunch en-route while stopping at the equator for photographs.  Drop off at your Kampala hotel or Entebbe airport for your flight back home. END OF SAFARI
