6 days Amboseli Tsavo West Tsavo East Nairobi safari
A safari to see some of Kenya’s
famous game parks and also see Africa’s top mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro and back
to Nairobi – the green city in the sun
Day1: Nairobi/Amboseli:
Pick up from your hotel in the
morning and drive along Mombasa road via Emali town to Amboseli in time for
lunch at your lodge. We have afternoon game drive starting 16.00 hours. Dinner
and overnight at your lodge (LD)
Day2: Amboseli:
Day spent viewing game in the
morning and afternoon. Amboseli (392 sq km) is not a big park but supported by swampy
vegetation it harbors elephants, buffaloes, hippos, lions, cheetahs, hyenas,
jackals, gazelles, wildebeests, warthogs, zebras, ostriches and Masai giraffes
in the background of the magnificent snow caped Mt. Kilimanjaro. The waters
from melted snow find their way down the mountain under lava flows and surface
on the Amboseli plains in form of swamps. (BLD)
Day3: Amboseli/Tsavo West
After breakfast we head for Tsavo
West National Park. Visit the Chyulu Hills and the Mzima Springs which are favorite
haunts for both the hippo and crocodile, which can be seen from an underwater
observation chamber. Dinner and overnight in a lodge (BLD)
Day4: Tsavo West
Day spent exploring Tsavo West
including the nature trails. Tsavo west is not a place where animals can be
readily seen due to heavy undergrowth and hence a little patience and effort is
required to spot the game. However there is compensation for that in scenic
landscapes, a bit wilder animals and less tourist traffic than the other famous
parks (BLD)
Day5: Tsavo West/Tsavo East
Depart early in the morning and
drive to Tsavo East. Tsavo East is famous for its great herds of elephant that
are usually covered in red dust and also a variety of game and fine scenery. We
visit Lugard Falls, Mundanda Rocks and Aruba Dam as we view game if time
permits. However much of the action in Tsavo East is concentrated along the
Galana and Voi rivers that provide the green pastures that sustain the wildlife
in an otherwise very arid and dusty park (BLD)
Day6: Tsavo East/Nairobi
Day6: Tsavo East/Nairobi
After early breakfast we depart for
Nairobi and drop off at your hotel/JKIA midafternoon (B). END OF SAFARI
