The National game parks of Northern
Tanzania are amongst the best in the world and offer very exciting game
viewing. Ngorongoro Crater is famous for its wild hunting dogs and a variety of
other game. Lake Manyara lions are known to reside in the branches of trees
where they can both relax and watch for prey while Serengeti is where the great
wildebeest migration to Masai Mara commences every year around May and June.
Olduvai Gorge is a world renowned pre-historic archaeological site
Day1: Nairobi/Arusha:
Arrive in Arusha from Nairobi by
D.H.L Shuttle. Arusha is the safari capital of Tanzania and also the
headquarters of the East African Common Market. Overnight in your hotel of
choice at extra cost
Day2: Arusha/Lake Manyara
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara,
lunch at the campsite followed by afternoon game drive. Lake Manyara national
park has a very scenic setting bordered to the west by the western escarpment
of the Great Rift Valley. Lake Manyara has an abundance of birdlife and hippos
while its tree-climbing lions are rather elusive
Day3: Lake Manyara/Serengeti
After breakfast proceed to Serengeti
National Park viewing game enroute, dinner and overnight at Seronera campsite.
Serengeti National Park (area 14763 sq km) boarders Masai Mara in Kenya to the
north and largely shares the same eco system. Serengeti National Park is the
largest and also most popular park in Tanzania
Day4: Serengeti
Spend the day game viewing in the
Serengeti National Park with a break for lunch at the campsite. Dinner and overnight
will be at Seronera campsite. Serengeti National Park is popular for its prides
of lions, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, elands, impalas, klipspringers,
warthogs and a variety of birdlife
Day5: Serengeti/Olduvai Gorge
Wake up early for a morning game
drive. Return to the camp for breakfast, followed by another game drive
before proceeding to Olduvai Gorge with picnic lunch. Olduvai Gorge is a canyon
about 50 km long renowned for its pre-historic findings. Dinner and overnight
at Simba campsite A on the Ngorongoro crater rim
Day6: Ngorongoro/ Arusha
After breakfast descend into the
Ngorongoro Crater for a tour with picnic lunches. Ngorongoro Crater is
said to be one of the largest calderas in the world and animals likely to be
seen include lions, elephants, buffaloes, wildebeest, gazelles, zebras,
reedbucks, black rhinos and flamingos. Afternoon, drive back to Arusha for
dinner and overnight in a campsite
Day7: Arusha National Park
Depart for Arusha National Park
after breakfast for a game drive with packed lunches. Arusha National Park is
one of Tanzania’s smallest and most beautiful parks featuring
Ngurdoto Crater, Momella lakes and Mt. Meru. At Arusha National Park you may
see zebras, giraffes, elephants, klipspringers and a variety of birds supported
by Momella lakes. Drop off at a hotel of your choice in Arusha at extra cost.
END OF SAFARI
Day8: Nairobi
Transfer back to Nairobi by D.H.L.
Shuttle

• Transport by a 4x4 land cruiser in Tanzania with a pop up roof for best game viewing and photography
• Services of a professional English speaking driver/ tour guide
• All Game park entrance fees
• Crater fees
• Full board accommodation in camps/campsites as specified in the itinerary or similar
