Amboseli are the plains on the northern base of the magnificent Mt. Kilimanjaro -the highest mountain in Africa. The waters from melted snow drain down the mountain underground and resurface in Amboseli, creating a green belt of swampland amidst dusty plains. In Amboseli, hippo, elephant and bird life can be seen against the backdrop of the magnificent snow-capped mountain. Also the game parks of Northern Tanzania are amongst the best in the world and offer very exciting game viewing. Ngorongoro Crater is famous for its packs of hunting dogs and a variety of other wild game. Lake Manyara lions are known to reside in the branches of trees where they can both relax and watch for prey while Serengeti is where the great wildebeest migration to Masai Mara commences every year around May and June.

Day 1 – Amboseli:
Pick up from your city centre hotel in the morning and depart at 8.30am.We drive along Mombasa road via Emali to Amboseli National Park. Lunch enroute and then proceed to your campsite viewing a variety of wild life on our way.

Day 2 – Amboseli
Day spent viewing game in the morning and afternoon. Amboseli (392 sq km) is not a big park but supported by swamp vegetation it harbors elephants, buffaloes, hippos, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, gazelles, wildebeests, warthogs, zebras, ostriches and Masai giraffes in the background of Mt. Kilimanjaro.


Day 3 – Lake Manyara:
After breakfast, drive via Namanga border town and Arusha to Lake Manyara. Arusha is the safari capital of Tanzania and also the headquarters of the East African Community. Lunch enroute while dinner and overnight will be at a campsite in Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara national park has a very scenic setting bordered to the west by the western escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. Lake Manyara has an abundance of birdlife and hippos while its tree-climbing lions are rather elusive.

Day 4 – Serengeti
Early morning game-drive in L. Manyara followed by breakfast. Then proceed to Serengeti National Park viewing game enroute, dinner and overnight at Seronera campsite. Serengeti National Park (area 14763 sq km) boarders Masai Mara in Kenya to the north and largely shares the same eco system. Serengeti National Park is the largest and also most popular park in Tanzania

Day 5 – Serengeti:
Spend the day game viewing in the Serengeti with a break for lunch at the campsite. Dinner and overnight will be at Seronera campsite. Serengeti is popular for its prides of lions, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, elands, impalas, klipspringers, warthogs and a variety of birdlife

 

  Day 6 - Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge:
After early morning breakfast, we proceed to Ngorongoro Crater via Olduvai Gorge with a picnic lunch. We view game enroute. Dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite. Ngorongoro Crater (area 20sq km) is a most visited destination. Ngorongoro Crater is said to be one of the largest calderas in the world and animals to be seen here include lions, elephants, buffaloes, wildebeest, gazelles, zebras, reedbucks, black rhinos and flamingoes. Olduvai Gorge is a canyon about 50 km long known for its pre-historic findings.

Day 7 – Tarangire
Morning Ngorongoro Crater tour and after lunch proceeds to Tarangire National Park. Dinner and overnight in a campsite. Tarangire harbors large herds of zebras, wildebeest, hartebeest and elephants particularly during the dry season between August and October.

Day 8- Arusha
After breakfast early morning game drives followed by lunch at the campsite, and then proceed to Arusha for dinner and overnight in a hotel of your choice at extra cost. Arusha is the safari capital of Tanzania and also the headquarters of the East African Common Market.

Day 9 – Nairobi
After breakfast we depart for Nairobi via Namanga border and drop off in Nairobi by afternoon.

• Transport by 4x4 in both Kenya &Tanzania or safari minibus in Kenya and a 4x4 land cruiser in Tanzania with a pop up roof for best game viewing and photography
• Services of a professional English speaking driver/ tour guide
