ultimate safari to Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater, Lake Eyasi of
the Hadzabe people still in their traditions and Tarangire national park
Day1: Lake Manyara
Departure
at 0830 hrs from your Arusha hotel and drive 130km to Lake Manyara National
Park in time for lunch in your hotel followed by afternoon game drive. Lake
Manyara attractions include its birdlife, its elusive black manned
tree-climbing lions, giraffes, buffaloes, baboons, ostrich, a big population of
hippos and a scenic setting below the western escarpment of the Great Rift
Valley. Overnight in your lodge (LD)
Day2: Serengeti National Park
Early
departure and head straight for the Serengeti National Park passing through
Olduvai Gorge, the renowned prehistoric and archeological site made famous by
Mary Leakey’s fossil find. Arrive in your lodge in Serengeti national Park in
time for lunch followed by afternoon game drive. Overnight at your lodge (BLD)
Day3: Serengeti National Park.
A
full day with morning and afternoon game drives to explore the endless plains
and most famous National Park in Tanzania. Over one million wildebeest and
about 200,000 zebras concentrate in Serengeti National Park forming herds that
migrate north and west in search of pastures as part of the annual migration.
Overnight at your Lodge.
Day4: Ngorongoro Crater
Early
breakfast, game viewing en route while driving out of Serengeti to reach your
lodge at Ngorongoro in time for lunch. Afternoon descent into Ngorongoro crater
floor 2000 ft (670m) for crater tour. Ngorongoro Crater is home to lions, black
rhinos, buffaloes, elephants and other grazing animals and birdlife.
Overnight at your lodge in the crater rim (BLD)
Day5: Lake Eyasi & Hadzabe Tribe
At
7 depart for Lake Eyasi to visit the Hadzabe people with packed lunch. The
Hadzabe people are a hunting and gathering people who still follow their
traditions and live around Lake Eyasi which is a hot and dry area. You will
visit the Hadzabe habitat, and experience their culture first hand. Prepare for
the experience of a lifetime. Overnight in your Lodge at Karatu (BLD)
Day6: Tarangire National Park
Day6: Tarangire National Park
After
breakfast depart for Tarangire with packed lunch. Optional visit to Mto wa Mbu
cultural village just north of Lake Manyara or participate in the various
outdoor activities including cycling & nature walks. After lunch proceed on
to Tarangire National Park for leisure. Overnight at the lodge (BLD)
Day7: Tarangire National Park
Full
day game viewing in Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park
measures 2,600 sq km's and boasts a high concentration of wildlife second only
to Ngorongoro Crater particularly in the dry season between August and October.
Overnight at the Lodge (BLD)
Day8: Arusha
After
breakfast, leave the park and return to Arusha. Drop off at your hotel just
before lunch (B).
